Two organizations
Separate identities, stated plainly
The pipeline works because the boundary is clear. Galois's research, tools, awards, and history remain Galois's. ExistX's engineering responsibility, delivery record, and evidence are ExistX's. Neither substitutes for the other.

Attribution rule
Galois work, tools, awards, and research history are not transferred into ExistX corporate past performance. When a Galois research asset appears in an ExistX engineering story, it is named and attributed as the research starting point.
The wider research landscape
Galois is the partner in this pipeline, but it is not the whole landscape. Advanced applied research runs across the national research enterprise, government laboratories and rapid-capability organizations among them. That enterprise is why the starting point is rarely zero.

The starting baseline
What the pipeline provides
Preferred structural access to Galois's R&D means ExistX engineering can begin from a research baseline rather than a blank page: validated approaches, formal models, prototypes, and tools relevant to the mission problem at hand.
The baseline is a starting point, not a finished capability. What the pipeline changes is where the engineering starts, never what still has to be proven in the mission environment.
Selection and handoff
Not every research result should transition
Selection is a decision, made against mission fit: does the result address the stated problem, can it meet the environment's constraints, and is there a credible path to the evidence the accepting authority requires?
When the answer is yes, the handoff is explicit (which assets are used, under what rights, with what attribution), and ExistX's lifecycle responsibility begins: architecture, implementation, integration, verification, deployment support, and sustainment.
