Galois is ExistX's primary research partner. ExistX has preferred structural access to Galois's R&D and works alongside Galois through the Galois-to-ExistX pipeline.

Galois research, tools, and awards remain Galois’s. When a Galois research asset is the starting point for an ExistX engineering effort, it is named and credited as the research baseline.

The wider research landscape
Advanced applied research also runs across the national research enterprise, Government laboratories, and rapid-capability organizations. That broader landscape is another reason the engineering starting point is rarely zero.

The starting baseline
What the pipeline provides
Preferred structural access to Galois's R&D means ExistX engineering can begin from a research baseline rather than a blank page: validated approaches, formal models, prototypes, and tools relevant to the mission problem at hand.
The baseline is a starting point, not a finished capability. What the pipeline changes is where the engineering starts, never what still has to be proven in the mission environment.
Selection and handoff
Not every research result should transition
Selection is a decision made against mission fit: does the result address the stated problem, can it meet the environment's constraints, and is there a credible path to the evidence the accepting authority requires?
When the answer is yes, the handoff is explicit: which assets are used, under what rights, with what attribution. ExistX's lifecycle responsibility then begins with architecture, implementation, integration, verification, deployment support, and sustainment.

From selection forward, the four disciplines supply the technical depth and the How We Work methods carry the result through integration, assurance, and sustainment.
Operationalization decisions and their evidence are ExistX's responsibility. That is the difference between citing research and operationalizing it.
